Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Andrii Sybiha had a telephone conversation with Hon. Dr. Phenyo Butale, Minister of International Relations of the Republic of Botswana, to exchange views on the current state and prospects of Ukraine–Botswana bilateral cooperation. During the conversation the issue of recruitment of the citizens of African states by Russia to participate in its war against Ukraine was discussed. 

In addition, Ministers agreed to intensify political contacts at all levels and to expand the legal framework for bilateral relations. Of special focus were also the prospects of strengthening economic cooperation between both countries.
